Sleepy day today, though for no real reason. Hot and sunny as usual. For some reason every time I sat down to do something though, my eyes just kept closing.
Went and picked up another essay today (A). All that's left is the myth one, and it should be there Thursday or before. We'll see. I spent the rest of the day trying to stop myself from finishing American Gods in one sitting, alternatively taking walks, studying for the GMAT, and watching episodes of Blood +. Why didn't I figure out I could watch anime on line the first three months I was here?
I found out that the only fiction the library here carries is The Silmarillion and The Chronicles of Narnia, both of which I've already read. I'm sure they have some Shakespeare too and other classics that aren't really leisure reads... So I thought, maybe fiction is not the way to go. Perhaps it's time to break out that reading list of Scholarly Books. And of course at the top of this list is Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces. The library has it, too. Only, you can only check it out for four hours at a time >.< What in the world is up with this university and only loaning things out for a few hours?? Is anyone gonna finish that book in four hours? I figure people must be taking classes with that book as a text, so they need the book to be constantly available for photocopying or something. Still, extremely annoying.
So with all the weird sleeping that was going on today, it's now twenty to ten and I'm finally wide awake. I was really close to getting back on a normal schedule too... it's like my body wants me to sleep during the day. Oh well, it doesn't really matter until exam time.
Only 31 days til I see my family!
