summer in Britain... it's hot

Another hot sunny day here in Britain... seriously, I was so misinformed about the weather here...

But it was a beautiful day for the chaplaincy barbecue, and I ate a lot of good food including Spanish rice, pasta salad, cucumber sandwiches, and some manner of German dessert that did not include coconut : P

After that I studied a bit, went for a walk, and studied a bit more. Then, unable to stand it any longer, I had to pick up American Gods again... and proceeded to read for hours on end. It's a good book. Very good. And I'm going to finish it very soon, which makes me sad. It also makes me wish I had Anansi Boys here with me, or that there was a decent library on this campus...

It is hot. I have the windows closed because there are no screens and the bugs fly in at night. *melts*
